What Are Urinary
Tract Stones?

Urinary tract stones are hard deposits of minerals and proteins that can form in different parts of the urinary system. Depending on where the stone is located, it may be referred to as a kidney stone, ureteral stone, or bladder stone.

Urinary tract stones can vary in size and shape. While smaller stones may pass out of the body on their own, larger stones may require medical intervention to prevent complications such as infection or blockage of the urinary tract.

Telltale Signs & Symptoms of Urinary Stones:
  • Pain in the lower abdomen and groin
  • Frequent urge to urinate
  • Bloody, cloudy, or foul-smelling urine
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Pain or burning while urinating
  • Fever and chills
